Emoji Cakes in Bracknell
An emoji cake starts at £100: a 6-inch round in yellow fondant with the features cut and laid on, included in the finish rather than charged as an extra. An 8-inch is £130, a printed design on icing is £20, and 12 cupcakes with a face each are £70. Made to order in Bracknell.
A round cake is already a face, which makes this the best-value strong design on the site. The one thing to know: the famous yellow faces are drawn fresh here, not copied — the characters belong to nobody, but every familiar drawing of them belongs to somebody.

Why is an emoji cake cheaper than a character cake?
Because every part of it is flat. A character cake needs a figure modelled in three dimensions, left a day or two to dry hard, and charged at £15 per figure; an emoji needs four shapes cut from rolled fondant with a knife and a circle cutter, and they go on in minutes. The cake underneath is the same £100–£130. If the budget is fixed and the recipient is a child, this is the design that spends the least of it on labour — the same logic that makes number cakes and letter cakes good value.
One face, or twelve
£100 — one 6-inch face, 8–12 slices.
£70 — 12 cupcakes, a different expression on each, £5.83 a cake.
£150 — an 8-inch with a printed design for something a knife cannot cut.
How do you get a true emoji yellow?
With fondant rather than buttercream, and the difference is not a preference. Emoji yellow is a saturated, slightly warm colour, and getting there in buttercream means enough gel colour to taste it and to leave the icing soft; fondant takes a strong yellow without changing texture, and it dries to the flat matte surface a screen has. Black is the same story and worse — a true black buttercream is the single hardest colour in a home kitchen, which is why the features here are cut from black fondant. There is a whole page on what colours cost in cake colours.
What if you want a message instead of a face?
Emoji are how people under twenty punctuate, so a cake that reads as a text message is often the better joke than a cake that is one big face: a line of piped writing with two or three small fondant faces in place of the words. It costs the same as writing, because the faces are the same flat shapes. For something closer to a screenshot — a whole message bubble, a username, a chat thread — that is a printed design at £20, and it wants an 8-inch so the text is big enough to read. For the characters the drawing belongs to somebody, character cakes explains how that is handled.
