Logo Cakes & Branded Cupcakes in Bracknell

Your logo printed in edible ink and laid on the cake: £1 per cupcake, or a single sheet on the top of a cake quoted with the design. 24 branded cupcakes come to £162. Invoiced to a company without VAT, because this is not a VAT-registered business.

Two things said plainly before you read further. There is no photograph of a logo cake from this kitchen — the gallery has none, and showing somebody else’s branding instead would be a lie dressed as a portfolio. And we print the mark you send us: whether you may use it is your call.

The cupcake figure includes the print on every one. A printed sheet for a cake is quoted with your artwork, because its price follows its size. Delivery from £30 by distance, and a reception desk is the easiest address there is. For everything else a company might order, see corporate cakes.

Why do cupcakes beat a cake for a branded order?

Because a logo on a cake is seen once and a logo on 24 cupcakes is seen 24 times, usually in 24 photographs taken by the people holding them. The cake carries the mark on its top surface, which is visible to whoever is standing over it and to nobody after the first cut. There are occasions that want the cake — a launch with a speech, a ribbon, a photograph of somebody holding a knife — and for those the print on the top is the right answer. For a stand at an exhibition, a client meeting or a team’s last day, the box wins.

What a branded order costs

24 cupcakes: £138 for the box, £1 a cupcake for the print — £162 together.

12 cupcakes: £84 the same way.

A cake: from £130 for an 8-inch, plus the printed sheet.

No VAT on any of it. A purchase order number goes on the invoice if you need one.

What makes a logo print badly?

Resolution, mostly, and then colour. A logo saved for a website is built to look right at the size of a browser tab; printed at the size of a cupcake it goes soft at the edges and fills in anywhere two lines run close together. Fine text under a certain size does not survive at all. Edible ink also sits on a surface rather than soaking into paper, so a colour comes out lighter than it does from an office printer, and a logo that relies on a pale tint can end up nearly white. Send the best file you have and the reply will say what it will look like rather than finding out on the day.

Whose job is it to check you may use the logo?

Yours, and it is a short conversation. For your own company nobody needs to ask. For a client’s brand on a thank-you order, or a football badge on a leaving cake, the right to reproduce a mark belongs to whoever owns it — we print what we are sent and we do not pretend to be the judge of it. What we will not do is draw an imitation of a logo to avoid the question, because that is the same thing with worse artwork.
