Cake gallery: 97 cakes we have made

69 photographs. Birthdays, christenings, anniversaries and leaving parties — single and two-tier cakes designed around the person they are for, not picked from a catalogue.

A single tier is £100 for a 6" cutting 8–12 party portions and £130 for an 8" cutting 14–18; two tiers start at £270 and cut 22–30. That price covers the sponge, the filling, a buttercream finish and simple decoration. The modelled figures, hand-painting and 3D shapes in these photographs are quoted with the design, because each one is a different number of hours.

Sizes, flavours and how to order.

4 photographs. The formal end of what we make: three tiers and two, finished in wafer paper, sugar blossom and fresh roses rather than piped flowers.

A 6" and 8" pair gives 22–30 portions from £270. Other tier combinations and three tiers are priced with your design rather than off a list. For a wedding the balance is due 7 days before the date, rather than the 3 hours before collection that every other cake gets, and we deliver and set the tiers up at the venue.

19 photographs. Swirled buttercream, fondant toppers, fresh fruit and sugar flowers, boxed in sixes, twelves and twenty-fours.

Cupcakes are £6 each: £36 for 6, £72 for 12 and £138 for 24. Each flavour is baked as its own batch, so 6 is the smallest number of any one flavour and a box of 24 can hold up to four. An edible printed logo or photograph on top is priced per cupcake.

5 photographs. A bento box is a 4" cake with 5 cupcakes beside it in one box, £100, serving about 9.

The cake on its own is £70 and serves about 4. A bento needs 3–5 days' notice against 7–10 for a custom cake, which makes it the thing to ask for when a date has crept up. Smooth buttercream or minimal piping included; gold leaf, mini florals and a mini topper cost extra.
