Pink Cakes in Bracknell
Pink is the colour asked for most often by name here — it is on 31 of the 97 cakes photographed in this kitchen — and it is also the vaguest request we get.
Blush, dusty rose, baby pink, coral and fuchsia are five different cakes. From £100 for a 6-inch, and the colour itself costs nothing.

What does a pink cake cost?
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
4" bento in blush or dusty pink Two of the 8 set bento colours are pinks 4 portions | £70 |
6" cake in your pink The colour is part of the finish — no extra for it 8–12 portions | £100 |
8" cake in your pink The colour is part of the finish — no extra for it 14–18 portions | £130 |
Colour is part of the finish rather than an addition — the colours page explains how a shade is matched and why deep colours are a different conversation, and the designs page prices the finishes.

Which pink suits which occasion?
Dusty rose for a wedding, because it reads as a colour rather than as pink and it sits happily beside cream, gold and greenery. Blush for an engagement or a christening, where the cake should look soft rather than bright. Baby pink for a first birthday, which is the one occasion where the obvious choice is also the right one. And fuchsia for a tenth birthday, where the point is that it is unmistakably pink from across the room.
Those are tendencies rather than rules, and the reason to think about it at all is that a cake photographs in the room it is in. A blush cake in a dim hall disappears; a fuchsia cake on a white tablecloth in daylight is a shock. If you know where the cake will be standing, say so — it changes the recommendation more than the occasion does.
Why is pink the easiest colour to get right?
Because buttercream starts most of the way there. Butter and sugar whip to a pale yellow cream, and a trace of pink colouring takes it straight to blush — no dosing, no bitterness, no second thoughts about fondant. Compare that with black, which needs a great deal of paste and tastes of it, or with a true red, which needs nearly as much.
The practical consequence is that pink is the colour where you can be fussy at no cost. Three shades of pink on one cake — an ombre from blush at the top to rose at the base — is a finish rather than an extra, where three shades of navy would be a conversation. The colours page has the counts for every shade and the reason the dark ones behave differently.
What about a small pink cake?
The 4" bento comes in 8 set colours and two of them are pinks — blush and dusty pink — at £70 for 4 portions. At that size the colour is chosen with the design rather than specified to a swatch, which is why the list is set rather than open.
The bento page has the small cakes, birthday cakes covers the occasion pink is most often ordered for, and black and gold is the other colour asked for by name.
