New Year Cakes in Bracknell

Thursday, 31 December 2026. Cakes and cupcakes made to order for the evening, from £70 for a 4" bento serving 4 to £130 for an 8-inch serving 14–18. Ask by Monday 21 December.

One thing worth knowing now rather than in late December: Christmas orders close 5 December, and New Year is a different deadline nearly four weeks after it. Missing the first does not mean missing the second.

Which December deadline applies to you?

There are two, and they are weeks apart. Christmas orders close 5 December, because the days before Christmas are full and a cake made then would be made badly. New Year has no special cut-off at all — it needs the ordinary 7–10 days like any other date. The table below is the whole of December in order.

A rush inside 7 days adds 50% where the diary allows it, which in the last week of December it often does not. Last-minute cakes explains what is and is not possible.

Why is New Year the bigger night for these cakes?

Because of where the signature menu comes from. In Russian, Ukrainian and Baltic households New Year rather than Christmas is the night with the long table, the toasts and the dessert that took two days to make — which is exactly what a medovik is. A honey cake on a New Year table is the tradition there in the way a pudding is here, and it is not a substitute for anything.

So if that is the evening you are planning, the right order is from the signature menu rather than a themed cake — the Eastern European page is the map of it, and fresh cream cakes explains what those cakes are made of and why they want a fridge and a day to settle.

What works for a New Year party?

Cupcakes, if people are standing up. A New Year party has no moment for cutting a cake — midnight is for a glass rather than a knife — so the cake either comes out at dinner or it gets forgotten on a side table. 12 cupcakes at £6 each hand out in seconds at any point in the evening, which is the format the night actually suits.

Where a cake earns its place is a sit-down dinner, and there the thing worth asking for is a date rather than a theme: the year piped on top is the one decoration that makes the photograph worth keeping. Number cakes covers the figures, and the writing guide covers how much actually fits.
