Nappy Cakes: Not Actually Cake
A nappy cake is a stack of rolled nappies tied to look like a tiered cake — a baby shower gift made by gift companies, with nothing edible in it. We are a bakery, so we do not make them, and that is the short answer if a search brought you here.
What we do make for a baby shower: a 4" bento at £70, a 6-inch cake from £100, or 12 cupcakes at £72 — which is the format a shower suits best.
What can a bakery make for a baby shower?

6" baby shower cake Your colours, your wording, one flavour 8–12 portions | £100 |

The baby shower page is the proper one for this occasion — sizes, colours and the gender-reveal question. Cupcakes has the boxes.

Why does a bakery have a page about this?
Because four and a half thousand people a month search for a nappy cake in this country, and a fair number of them end up looking at bakeries — the word “cake” does that. Rather than let somebody work through a price list wondering why none of it mentions nappies, this page says what the thing is, who makes it, and what a kitchen can usefully add to the same party.
One practical note while you are here: keep the nappy cake off the food table. It is a decorative gift made of absorbent cotton and plastic, it is handled by everybody who arrives, and it has no business standing next to something people are eating. Gift table one side, food the other.
What works at a baby shower?
Cupcakes, nearly always. A shower is people standing in a room with drinks, a game and a pile of presents — there is no sit-down moment where somebody cuts a cake and hands it round on plates. 12 cupcakes at £6 each are a portion apiece with nothing to organise, and they photograph well on the same table as the gifts.
Where a cake earns its place is a small shower that is really a lunch, or a gift for the parents to have at home afterwards — which is what the 4" bento is for. For the sizes, the colours and the question of whether anybody is announcing anything, the baby shower page is the one to read next.
