Baby Shower & Gender Reveal Cakes in Bracknell

From £100 for 8–12 slices, made to order and delivered across Berkshire. The baking is the easy half of a reveal cake — the hard half is that one person has to know and two people must not.

So that is how this works: somebody who is not the parents sends us the colour in writing, we confirm without repeating it, and the box stays shut until the knife goes in.

Simple decoration is included — piping, berries, a plain finish. A theme, modelled figures or a colour inside the sponge are quoted with the design, and the quote says plainly whether the colour will do what you are hoping. Delivery from £30, collection from Bracknell free.

Who tells the baker, and how?

One person, in writing, and not either parent. In practice it is a sister, a friend or whoever collected the envelope from the clinic: they message us the single word, we reply that we have it, and we do not say it again — not in a confirmation, not on the box, not when you collect. The receipt and the label say the size and the flavour.

What to do before you book

Decide who will know. One person is enough and two is a risk.

Start a message thread with us that the parents are not in.

Book the cake without the colour — we need it two days before collection, not at the time of ordering.

Tell us if the parents will be collecting it themselves.

Does the colour go inside or outside?

Inside is the version people mean: a white or neutral cake that gives the answer when it is cut. Whether that works is a question about the sponge rather than about the colour — a pale vanilla takes a tint cleanly, a chocolate sponge does not, and a filling holds a stronger colour than a crumb does. Outside is the simpler and cheaper route, and it suits a shower where everyone already knows. Say which you want in the enquiry and the reply will tell you what the cut will actually look like.

How much cake does a shower need?

Less than a birthday of the same size, because a shower runs in the afternoon and people have usually eaten. Twelve guests take a 6-inch; twenty take the 8-inch, which cuts 14–18. Past that, a cake with a box of cupcakes beside it beats a bigger cake: the cake is for the photograph and the cut, and the cupcakes are what actually gets eaten.
