The 4" bento is built for about 4 small slices: enough for two people after dinner, and enough for the next day if you are sensible. That matters more than it sounds, because this kitchen keeps its own hours: Sunday collection is 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday is 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and Monday it is closed. A cake for a Monday goes out on the Saturday and keeps two days in a fridge, which is inside the gap. What should the cake actually say?
Something short and specific to them, rather than the word love in a font. A nickname, a date, the name of the place you met, the thing they always say — these fit on a four-inch top and land better than a sentence. Piping is handwriting: it is at its best with a few words and at its worst when it has to shrink to fit a paragraph. Tell us what you want written and we will say whether it fits before it is piped.
