Graduation & Retirement Cakes in Bracknell
Both of these are usually eaten standing up by a room of colleagues, which changes the answer: 24 cupcakes at £138 feed 24 people with no knife, no plates and nobody having to cut anything, where a 10-inch cake at £150 cuts 22–28 and needs somebody to volunteer.
A cake is the right answer when there is a speech and a photograph of somebody holding it. Otherwise the box wins, and we would rather say so than sell you the bigger thing.

Which actually feeds an office better?
Per person, cupcakes. The table is the whole argument, and it is our own price list rather than a rule of thumb.
| What you order | Feeds | Price | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24 cupcakes | 24 | £138 | £5.75 |
| 12 cupcakes | 12 | £72 | £6.00 |
| 10" cake | 28 | £150 | £5.36 |
| 8" cake | 18 | £130 | £7.22 |
| 6" cake | 12 | £100 | £8.33 |
Cake portions are counted at the top of their range here, which is the fair comparison: a cupcake is one person and a slice is one person. Cut the cake meanly and the figures move.
Why does a July graduation need booking in May?
Because every university in the country holds its ceremonies in the same fortnight, and this is one person in one kitchen rather than a production line with a night shift. The notice we need is still 7–10 days for a simple cake, but in late June the diary fills before the notice runs out — and a rush costs 50% when it is possible at all. The same is true of the fortnight before Christmas and of summer Saturdays.
What does an office order involve that a party does not?
An invoice, usually, and a delivery to a reception desk rather than a kitchen. Both are straightforward: there is no VAT to add because this is not a VAT-registered business, the deposit holds the date as it does for anything else, and reception is the easiest delivery address in the world because somebody is always there to sign. What an office order needs from you is the floor and a phone number — a cake left at a barrier is a cake nobody collects.
