How long it takes
7–10 days for a simple design, at least 14 for two tiers.
Sooner is sometimes possible: a rush adds 50% when the notice is under 7 days, if the diary is clear.

How big a difference does the guest list make?
All of it. An anniversary for two and an engagement party for thirty are the same recipe and a £200 difference in price, and nothing else about the order changes — same flavours, same finish, same notice. That is why this page is a list of sizes rather than a gallery of styles: decide the number of people first and everything after it is quick.
From two people to thirty
Two of you: the 4" bento, £70, or the 5-inch at £90.
A dozen: the 6-inch, £100, 8–12 slices.
Up to 18: the 8-inch, £130.
Up to 30: two tiers, £270.
More than that: a cake plus cupcakes, quoted together.
What about a number — 25 years, 40, 50?
Piped in buttercream it is part of the finish and costs nothing extra. Standing on top as a modelled figure, or cut as the shape of the cake, it is quoted with the design — a shaped cake wastes sponge and needs support a round one does not. Is this a wedding cake with a different label?
Nearly, and it is worth knowing where the two part company. The tiers are built and priced the same — £270 for a 6"+8" pair either way. What differs is the paperwork: a wedding balance falls due 7 days before the date, where an engagement cake is like everything else here — 3 hours before you collect, or cash on collection. And a wedding cake wants a month’s notice against 7–10 days for this.
