How far ahead should I order a cake?

For a custom cake, cupcakes or a wedding cake, our usual notice is 7–10 days, or at least 14 for two tiers. The table below gives the notice for each kind of order we make, so you can count back from your date.

Summer weekends and December fill first, so if your date falls in either, order earlier than the usual notice.

A date sooner than our usual notice is a rush order, not an impossible one, if the diary allows. A rush order costs 50% of the price when the notice is under 7 days, when we can take it at all.

For a closer date, a bento cake is the fast option, with 3–5 days notice. Bento cakes are a good choice when time is short and the date is already fixed.

Wedding dates book out far earlier than the baking takes, with summer Saturdays going first. Get in touch as soon as you have the date and venue, even if the design is undecided.

The usual notice for a wedding cake is 7–10 days, or at least 14 for two tiers. The table below lists our two-tier sizes, their portions and their prices. Delivery to the venue is quoted by distance, from £30.

A 50% deposit holds your date. The balance is due 3 hours before collection or delivery, or 7 days for weddings.

The deposit is non-refundable but can be moved to another date with notice. To start, send us the date, roughly how many people, and any photos of designs you like. The price comes back within a day.
