Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our cakes, ordering process, and delivery options.
7–10 days for a simple cake or cupcakes, at least 14 days for two tiers or detailed decoration, and 3–5 days for a bento cake. Sooner is sometimes possible if the diary is clear, and a rush adds 50% inside 7 days. Wedding dates book up well before that, so get in touch as soon as you have yours.
Absolutely! All our cakes are fully customizable. You can choose flavors, colors, decorations, and sizes. Send us an enquiry or book a consultation to discuss your specific requirements.
Yes, for wedding cakes. We hold tastings 3 times a year, from £50; the next one is in February 2027. Mention it in your enquiry and tell us which flavours you are considering.

Yes, a 50% deposit holds your date, and orders under £50 are paid in full. The balance is due 3 hours before the time you collect, or in cash when you collect; for a wedding it is due 7 days before the date.

Yes, we offer a full setup service for wedding cakes. This includes delivery, assembly of tiers, positioning at the venue, and adding fresh flowers or final decorations. Setup fees start from £25.
We make vegan cakes, but not gluten-free ones. Vegan cakes contain no milk or eggs, but they are made in a kitchen that handles both, so they are not suitable for a milk or egg allergy. Our kitchen handles all major allergens (celery, gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, tree nuts). While we take every care, products may contain traces of allergens. Please tell us about any allergy when you enquire.
The chocolate is Belgian — it is what the ganache on every menu cake is made from. We can give you the full ingredient list for anything we bake, and the allergen list comes with every enquiry.
Keep the cake in a closed box in the fridge and enjoy it within 2 days. Take it out of the fridge 30–60 minutes before serving for the best taste and texture. Our cake care guide has the rest.
No. This is one kitchen in a house rather than a shop, so there are no visits and no tasting sessions — the order is agreed in writing instead. Send the date, how many people you are feeding and a photograph of anything you like the look of, and a price comes back within 24 hours. You come to Bracknell once, at the time we agree, to collect the cake.
Tell us as early as you can. The deposit is non-refundable, but it can be moved to another date if you tell us 4 days before the collection day; after that it stays non-refundable. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.
Yes, we regularly create branded cakes and large orders for corporate clients. We can incorporate company logos, colors, and themes. We invoice your company, with no VAT added: Sweet Panda is not VAT registered.
What are the rules, in one place?
